    Iwatayama Monkey Park

There is an attraction in Kyoto, not far from the famed bridge that people flock to. It’s somewhat touristy but not all that touristy, either. I say this because you have to actually walk quite a distance before you can get to Arashiyama’s Iwatayama Monkey Park. And once here, you’ll see that there are less tourists around compared to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove or any other popular Kyoto destination.

    Descanso Gardens

I had plans to go to Descanso Gardens. I just hadn’t planned on going the day I decided to go. I had on the wrong outfit. (How very LA of me to say such a thing! Lol) Honestly, I could care less how I looked, but my outfit’s material was soaking up every ounce of that sun’s warmth! It was unbearably hot for me. Fortunately, with Descanso Gardens being in La Canana Flintridge, by the mountains, it was a lot cooler, making my outfit appropriate overall.

    Escaping to Lake Shrine

Lake Shrine has been on my to visit place for a good amount of time. Fortunately for me, I was able to finally visit Lake Shrine upon successfully reserving a spot for myself. While the reservation process is easy, it’s not exactly guaranteed that you’ll receive a reservation.

    Purple Flowers

Sometimes, it’s the small things that bring joy to you. It catches you offguard and brings a smile to you.

On a day I went for a walk, I encountered beautiful purple flowers. It’s Spring, yet not really Spring. With Summer about to enter yet the weather being nice and cool that day, it was certainly an interesting day.

    Nara: The Deer Roams Freely

Where can you find friendly deer in Japan? Nara. Located in Kansai, Nara is a popular tourist spot. Besides its many attractions, what seems to attract people is the many deer that exist in Nara. These deer roam about freely and are rather friendly. They’ll approach you, even bow to you in hopes for food. While the bulk of them are friendly, it’s best to keep in mind that they are still wild animals at the end of the day.
