Goodies from EVA Air

EVA Air amenity kit

A family member of mine recently gifted a brand new amenity kit from EVA Air’s premium economy cabin to me. It may seem a tad bit awkward and even insulting to a certain extent to be gifted such a thing but I love freebie gifts like this and this family member knew this. (Note to future bf/husband/friends/etc: do not assume that I’ll be ok with freebie gifts. If you’re not cautious, I’ll find it insulting…)

In general, I am a fan of anything travel related and what says travel more than an unopened, brand new and heavily radiated amenity kit? Hm…lol.

Anyway, I like this amenity kit. I’m not too crazy about how it’s so simple (plain) looking on the outside but it’s really what’s on the inside that matters, right? And the inside is great! It’s still plain looking but it’s functional.

I love how there’s a little hook installed in the interior of the amenity kit. This hook is awesome because it means you would never have to put the kit on top of the lavatory counter. Even if the counter were clean, the reality is that the kit could fall down to the filthy lavatory floor if turbulence were to occur in flight. And that’s nasty…

Every airline provided amenity kit I’ve come across in my life thus far has been absent of a hook. So you can imagine exactly how much I like this amenity kit all because of a hook. And it’s all because of this hook that makes me want to make use of this kit more than just once or twice. Unfortunately, most amenity kits aren’t exactly meant to be used more than a few times. I say this because most deteriorate pretty badly after the 4th time it’s been used. And to be honest, I don’t think this kit would last long.

In addition to the lovely hook, I found the mesh pockets of the kit to be quite lovely as well. Like the hook, this was the first time I’d seen mesh pockets used in an airline provided amenity kit. (Keep in mind that I’m only talking about kits I’ve been exposed to in the planes I’ve been on.)

The kit comes with pretty nice stuff that has yet to be opened and used by me. A black comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, a brown eye mask, brown socks, yellow ear plugs, a THANN lip balm and a THANN moisturizing cream tube. I didn’t know about THANN prior to receiving this amenity kit and I figure there’s probably someone out there who also is hearing about them for the first time. Thus, in brief summation, THANN is a Thai beauty/skin care company. It seems as though their products are more health friendly as they seem to be paraben free and mineral oil free. (You’ll have to do your own research on them if you’re curious.)

I suppose that sums it up for the premium economy amenity kit from EVA Air.

So, in addition to the amenity kit, I also received from my family member an EVA Air Hello Kitty speed puff jet. It was purchased in flight and the family member said that she had purchased the last one available on that flight. Interesting.
