Shall We Date? booth at Anime Expo 2018

Shall We Date? BoothThe first booth I visited at Anime Expo 2018 inside the Exhibition Hall was NTT Solmare Corporation’s Shall We Date? booth. I am not joking when I tell you that I made a beeline for their booth. lol The reason I made a beeline for their booth had to do with me wanting a bag from them and bag I got but not without some patience. I cannot tell you how worried I got while “waiting” for a bag. I say “worry” because I knew that if they were to run out of bags, I wouldn’t have gotten one. (Cries. Lol)

Moe Ninja Girl on bagMy so called worries came about after realizing I had gotten in line to participate in a game. Now, don’t misunderstand me. It’s not that I didn’t want to play the game; I just wanted to get my bag first and then play the game. When it comes to freebies, you have to use a bit of strategizing or else you’ll miss out. lol (Go ahead and make fun of me!) Anyway, let’s talk about the game first. I can’t exactly describe the game but what I can say is that the game gives you an opportunity to win a prize. Every participant receives a prize regardless of how horrible you do on the game. *cough* The game was probably simple but I could not understand it and ended up with the crappiest prize, a magnet.

Magnet from Shall We Date?

The girl before me, I want to assume didn’t know what she was doing either but ended up doing well in the outcome of the game and as a result got a good prize. Because of this, I honestly can’t help but to wonder if the game was set up like that. In other words, if you have a bunch of people not knowing how to play the game, the game perhaps automatically allows every third or fourth person to win a nice prize. Just a guess.

So, I’m not too sure what prizes were available however besides the magnet, I did catch something with Makoto Nakagawa from Ninja Shadow and I honestly would have loved to have gotten that. Oh well.

Anyway, after my horrid game playing, I finally got to the survey area where I finally got my bag! I honestly LOVE how big and showy their bags are. lol

NTT Solmare Corp bagAfter my bag obtainment, I was able to calm down a bit. lol I knew there were other activities I could do at their booth so I got involved, if I wasn’t already involved to begin with that is. So, I’m not crazy about Moe Ninja Girls but I participated in a shuriken throwing game which I did horribly on. (What’s new about doing horribly on games?)

Lastly, I asked an employee if there were other things to do. And the employee excitedly led me to an area where I could take pictures as Alice. I found it to be pretty cool since it was my first time being photographed in trick art. Yeah, I can be easily amused at times…

In addition to their bag, what I was hoping to also get from NTT Solmare Corp was a pin. Prior to the start of AX, I had attempted to do my part of the research on what activities and freebies NTT Solmare Corp would offer this year around and for whatever strange reason, I couldn’t find much information. (I was only able to learn about the bags they’d be giving out.) So, I’m clueless on whether they even gave out pins. It’s possible that this year around, no pins were given out unless you won it as a prize from their game.

Their booth was interactive and that was good and all but for some weird reason, I liked their booth from the previous year a lot more. But then again, I might just be biased because I got pins and enjoyed being silly with Makoto Nakagawa in their VR activity. If you’re curious as to what NTT Solmare Corporation’s booth was like at Anime Expo 2017, you can read all about it HERE. (Enjoy!)
