Finding Cirque du Soleil Eggs from OVO

It’s about to officially be summer but prior to that happening, I want to blog about my experience with finding eggs. I know what you’re thinking but this blog post isn’t about Easter. It’s actually about Cirque du Soleil’s eggs at the South Coast Botanic Garden.

While Cirque du Soleil was in town performing OVO at the Microsoft Theater, the South Coast Botanic Garden featured eggs highlighting various insects from OVO. These eggs were hidden on the vast grounds of the garden and could easily be found with the help of a map.

I know it might sound silly trekking around the gardens just to find these eggs but I found joy and a sense of accomplishment in finding each egg. It also forced me to actually go through most of the garden’s grounds, which was a good thing, although somewhat tiring.

The best thing to finding every egg is that you’re eligible for a small prize should you care for it. Thanks to my curiosity, I cared enough to retreive the prize! The small prize is a small packet of seeds to plant your own food (cilantro, dill and basil). I found this prize to be nice and quite relevant, being that it’s from a garden and insects (OVO characters) like plants. I’ve yet to plant these seeds, however it’s definitely on my to do list.
