There’s an air of mystery behind every masked dancer. While the performance itself should be the focal point, you sometimes just can’t help but to also wonder who is underneath that mask. Is the performer young? Old? Male? Female? Attractive? All of the above?

The Red Cup from Starbucks

Sometimes, it’s the smallest of things that bring a smile to our faces. Not long ago, I was able to get hold of a Starbucks red cup. I know that some people scoff at the “red cup” frenzy but I see it as a “gift” to yourself. Obviously, it’s a gift with strings attached in that you can only get the “red cup” if you purchase a holiday drink, while the cups are still available.

Halloween Vibes

It’s just for one day but I hope anyone celebrating Halloween in any way will have a fun and safe one. Here, hamsters have been caught experiencing a bit of that Halloween vibe simply by hanging out among Autumn colored “leaves” (orange bedding).

Thai Fest by the Beach

I must have been living under a rock or something because I only recently learned about Thai Fest by the Beach. Apparently, it’s a festival that occurs at the Santa Monica Pier every year and this year was my first time attending it. What have I been missing out on? Let’s find out.

Deko Car during Nisei Week

After seeing a minimal amount of itasha cars in Anaheim, I wasn’t sure what to expect at Deko Car. Would there be a lot of itasha cars? Or would there be a small amount of itasha cars, similar to the Anaheim event? Regardless, it didn’t matter much to me since I was going to be in Little Tokyo for not just Deko Car but for Nisei Week and Natsumatsuri.
