    Itasha Cars at Anime Days

Away from the hustle and bustle of Anime Days was an area on the “sea level” where you see itasha cars. What are itasha cars? They’re basically “anime” cars since itasha cars feature at least one anime character. The more accurate definition is something along the lines of “cringey” looking cars since they’re cars that stand out and depending on what’s your cup of tea, they may indeed be “cringey” for you to look at. Natsumatsuri at JANM

Natsumatsuri was held at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM). It was held the same weekend as Nisei Week, which meant that you could enjoy Nisei Week’s activities (ex. Karate exhibition and tournament) in addition to Natsumatsuri. Nisei Week at JACCC

There was a lot going on in Little Tokyo recently. From Natsumatsuri to the karate exhibition and tournament held by Shotokan Karate of America (SKA), there just had to be even more going on. At first glance, in front of the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC), there seemed to not be much going on but Nisei Week was already happening here.

    Tafesilafa’i Pacific Islander Festival

Summer weather has been nothing but annoyingly hot. With that said, I of course almost decided not to go to Tafesilafa’i Pacific Islander Festival because it’d be outdoors, under the glorious sun. But I went because as hot as it was going to be, I knew it would only get hotter the following week. So, why not attend an event on a relatively cooler hot day?
