    Hello Winter

    Halloween silhouettes

It’s time to temporarily say goodbye to Autumn. As of today, Winter is officially here. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy an autumn photo or two.

What’s it like where you’re at?

Here, it doesn’t feel like Winter yet.

    Aesthetics at Huntington Library

Snagging a free day ticket to the Huntington Library was the highlight of my most recent visit to the grounds. It’s summer. It’s hot and it’s even hotter the more inland you go. If you didn’t know already, San Marino is next to Alhambra and the likes which means it’s basically in the San Gabriel Valley area. Valley… In other words, it’s hotter here. Fortunately, plentiful shade and the occasional breeze made this summer outing tolerable. I must admit that I was sweating like a pig, though…

    Walking in Nature

It’s hot. So hot that it’s probably safe to say that the whole world is experiencing and complaining about this horrid summer heat. If anything, I’m so glad that the summer weather didn’t truly kick in until July arrived. That cool spell in June was a gift from above. But it was that cooler weather in June where we could easily go on walks without a care to the time of the day it was. Now, it just seems way too hot to go for a walk, regardless of the time of the day.

    Fullerton Arboretum in Full Bloom

I’ve come to understand why some people find joy in coming to the same place over and over. Some enjoy the sense of familiarity. Others may want to relive the special memories made there. At places of nature, whether it be a garden or arboretum, the reason could be as simple as wanting to be one with nature as often as possible. After visiting the Fullerton Arboretum more than once, I’ve come to understand why it’s essential to visit places of nature more than once. It’s because as the season changes, nature itself will change, too. At the Fullerton Arboretum, for example, I saw a bunch of flowers in bloom that I had never seen before and it was such a sight to behold.

    The Children’s Garden

The last two blog posts have been about the Huntington Library. Can you guess what today’s blog post is about? Yup, it’s about the Huntington Library again. This time, I’ll only be talking about the Children’s Garden.
