The Allure of a Japanese Spouse

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d write a post about love. Now, before you get too excited (or upset, even), I just want to say that I was inspired to blog about this upon seeing a specific visiting trend to my site. Can you guess what that trend is? Tet Festival Flashback

In honor of the approaching Lunar New Year, I am blogging about Tet. Back in 2018, I had the opportunity to attend Tet Festival, which was held in Costa Mesa. It’s an event that happens annually, however I wouldn’t be surprised if the event isn’t held this year per COVID. Nara: The Deer Roams Freely

Where can you find friendly deer in Japan? Nara. Located in Kansai, Nara is a popular tourist spot. Besides its many attractions, what seems to attract people is the many deer that exist in Nara. While the bulk of them are friendly, it’s best to keep in mind that they are still wild animals at the end of the day.

    To Miyajima Island

People come to Miyajima Island for its floating tori. It’s a tori that thrills people simply because you can actually walk to the tori when the tide is down. The thing is, Miyajima Island is home to more than just Itsukushima Shrine’s tori. There’s quite a number of things you can see and do by foot here. As always, I didn’t get to do and see everything I wanted to while I was on this island but here’s what I encountered while on the grounds of Miyajima Island.

    Beppu’s Hells

Beppu is known for its “hells”. These “hells” aren’t as scary as they sound as they’re just eight of the most touristy hot springs of Beppu. As mentioned in my previous post, I didn’t get to visit all 8 of the “hells” but something is better than nothing, right?
