Anime Night Mart
It was hot and because of that, I almost didn’t show up to Anime Night Mart. But in the end, I decided to go which was a great decision because the event was for free and the weather wasn’t as hot by the time I arrived. -
Fullerton Arboretum in Full Bloom
I’ve come to understand why some people find joy in coming to the same place over and over. Some enjoy the sense of familiarity. Others may want to relive the special memories made there. At places of nature, whether it be a garden or arboretum, the reason could be as simple as wanting to be one with nature as often as possible. After visiting the Fullerton Arboretum more than once, I’ve come to understand why it’s essential to visit places of nature more than once. It’s because as the season changes, nature itself will change, too. At the Fullerton Arboretum, for example, I saw a bunch of flowers in bloom that I had never seen before and it was such a sight to behold. -
Tet Festival in Fountain Valley
Lunar New Year festivities may be over but I can still recall the wonderful time I had at the first Lunar New Year event I attended in the year of the cat (rabbit). Of all the Lunar New Year festivals I’ve attended thus far in Southern California, this was the best one I’ve attended. I realize that it’s been a long time since I last went to any festival but I can assure you that I’m not being biased in any way here. If you ever ponder between attending the Tet Festival in Costa Mesa versus the one in Fountain Valley, opt for the one in Fountain Valley. For starters, there is no admission fee to Fountain Valley’s Tet Festival.

Villa Park Lunar New Year Celebration
I’m going to be honest and say that the Villa Park Lunar New Year Celebration was a relatively boring event. I was actually quite close to leaving early on in the festival but decided to stay around. I realize that it was a free event, but it doesn’t change the fact that it was a pretty boring event.

Tet Festival Flashback
In honor of the approaching Lunar New Year, I am blogging about Tet. Back in 2018, I had the opportunity to attend Tet Festival, which was held in Costa Mesa. It’s an event that happens annually, however I wouldn’t be surprised if the event isn’t held this year per COVID. Since I never got the chance to share about my experience with the festival, I’m doing it today!
