By the Water
It’s Spring, yet there are times when the weather gets almost unbearably hot. It’s a sign that summer is fast approaching. Of course, there are days that remind me of Autumn – nice, cool and refreshing. These Autumn-like days in Spring are only going to get fewer and fewer as it gets closer and closer to Summer. The best way to keep cool is to be by the water. -
Cherry Blossoms at Yoyogi Park
Having seen the cherry blossoms in Okinawa, I couldn’t understand the hype over hanami or cherry blossom viewing. I found the dark pink flowers overrated. To think that people would actually look forward to these flowers blooming annually, I couldn’t help but to find it a tad bit strange and a tad bit ridiculous. They were just flowers that were nice to look at but nothing of the extraordinary.

The Orange County Zoo
If you’re looking to get your zoo fix but are short on time and money, the Orange County Zoo would be the perfect place to visit, provided that you’re already in the Irvine area, that is. I say this because it’s not a zoo I recommend visiting from afar as it’s a very small zoo and the zoo grounds can easily be visited in it’s entirety in less than an hour. The good thing about this zoo, though is that it’s not very well known and thus not very crowded, even on a weekend.
