Pre-Travel Worries
I have a trip planned. Although the trip isn’t in two weeks or anything, the reality is that time will pass by fast and before I know it, the trip will literally be in a matter of a few days.As excited as I am for this trip, I can’t help but to harbor a few worries here and there.
Let’s explore some of my so-called worries, shall we?

Anime Expo 2017: About Day 3 & 4
Blue Spring Ride
On day 3 of Anime Expo 2017, I had sweated my way to the JW Marriot to watch Natsume’s Book of Friends only to learn about 5 minutes before the showing (from an employee/volunteer) that they weren’t able to get a hold of it and thus won’t be able to show it… Can we say wtf? There wasn’t a lot of people in the video room to begin with but everyone present was silent. They all were having a wtf moment. I obviously was bummed out since I really wanted to see Natsume’s Book of Friends. Oh well, right?
Instead of Natsume’s Book of Friends, AX played Blue Spring Ride for us. I can’t tell you how close I was to leaving. I’m glad to have stuck around though because I found myself liking Blue Spring Ride. I think I liked it because I was able to somehow relate to the main female character. It also helped how the main male character’s voice was nice… Like, you make me melt type of nice. Lol (If I could fall in love with a voice, it’d be this particular voice actor ‘s voice. Lol)
After three episodes of Blue Spring Ride, the room got cleared and it was time for me to get some grub.

Anime Expo 2017: All About Day 2
This is a special blog entry that details my Anime Expo 2017 experience on day 2. I cover the following topics in this order:
- Welcome to the Ballroom
- We are X: The X Japan Documentary
- Shall We Date? Booth Experience
- Losing my Kabe-don Virginity to Hiroto
- Gintama hauls
Please feel free to scroll to the section you’re most interested in but I of course think it’d be best if you read my entire entry. 😉 Happy reading!
I had purchased a 4 day pass for Anime Expo 2017 with the determination to attend AX all four days. That didn’t happen, unfortunately since I didn’t attend day 1. And while this may come across as a bummer, it was actually a good thing I wasn’t present for day 1 since day 1 was only about lines, lines and well, more lines. My friend/coworker was actually waiting in line for four hours just to obtain her badge. Can we say what!?! Yeah, so not cool. So, I’m glad I wasn’t there on day 1 to be part of that hot mess.
Anyway, enough on day 1. Let’s talk about something more exciting: day 2 at AX 2017. Unlike my first time experience with AX back in 2015, I came quite prepared to conquer this time around. I actually knew what I wanted to do. (That AX 2017 app was helpful in planning out my own AX agenda.) And I got to do what I wanted to do. For the most part anyway.
The first thing I did after getting my badge and going through an entrance line was head over to the main events hall. Didn’t know where the heck it was but I somehow figured it out with the map, thankfully.

Peacocks, Lizards and Coyotes, oh my!
It’s been a while since I last posted something travel related. (Although I’ve been posting, most of the posts fall into a different category.) So, I’m hoping today’s post will be a bit of a treat! Not long ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia, CA.
It was at this arboretum that I encountered my two firsts. My first first: seeing a peacock in real life as well as hearing it speak for the first time. Second first: encountering a coyote alone. Yes, I really did encounter a coyote… More on it in a bit.
So, it’s safe to say this arboretum is known for its peacocks. These birds are beautiful but they’re loud.

Goodies from EVA Air
A family member of mine recently gifted a brand new amenity kit from EVA Air’s premium economy cabin to me. It may seem a tad bit awkward and even insulting to a certain extent to be gifted such a thing but I love freebie gifts like this and this family member knew this. (Note to future bf/husband/friends/etc: do not assume that I’ll be ok with freebie gifts. If you’re not cautious, I’ll find it insulting…)
In general, I am a fan of anything travel related and what says travel more than an unopened, brand new and heavily radiated amenity kit? Hm…lol.
