    Riverside’s Festival of Lights

I’ve been wanting to go to Riverside’s Festival of Lights for a long time now and I finally did it this year. Yay, but whatever. I say whatever because things didn’t start on time and that rubbed me and a bunch of festival attendees in the wrong way.

    Portland Saturday Market

I did not plan on visiting Portland’s Saturday Market. Somehow it just happened and I’m glad I visited it.

I say this because Portland does not have good food. And it doesn’t help much either that their not so good food isn’t cheap either. Not too sure what Portlanders’ standards are when it comes to good food but it doesn’t seem all that high especially when it comes to taste and authenticity.

    Anime Expo 2019

Anime Expo 2019 is done and over with but I still have a few things to say about the event. The event was a hot mess. If you heard it was bad in 2017, well, 2019 definitely outdid Anime Expo 2017 in the crap department. I think it’s safe to say that many attendees thought AX2019 would at least be like AX2018 or better. 2018 was the year AX decided to implement a new badge system where you “clock in” and “clock out” of AX related buildings. Bag checks existed and yes, the lines were long but there were multiple lines so it wasn’t too bad. If I managed to visit the JW Marriot AND the LA Convention Center, it really wasn’t all that bad when you think how this year, I couldn’t even imagine to visit a non-LA Convention Center building simply out of fear that I’d have to get in a ginormous line yet again only to get into another line to attend a panel or whatever it is that I want to attend. This year sucked and I knew beforehand based on people’s rants on social media on how they had to wait at least 3 hours before they could get inside the LA Convention Center. Others waited 4-5 hours on Day 1 and all I can say is that is insanity.

Otome Experience at Anime Expo 2019

If you read my previous post, you already know that I only had the opportunity to attend Anime Expo 2019 for one day. I thus was unable to see and do all things otome but allow me to share what I managed to get done anyway.

NTT Solmare Corp (Shall we date?), cybird and Voltage Otome Romance were present at AX 2019. Yes, I did say Voltage Otome Romance. (They didn’t hold a booth the year prior but did so this year!)

Voltage Otome Romance at Anime Expo 2019

Voltage Otome Romance MerchandiseVoltage Otome Romance had a booth at the Exhibit Hall this year. I want to say enough said but really, I have so much more to say. If you visited Anime Expo last year, you probably didn’t see a booth for Voltage simply because it was their gap year for whatever reason. (They were present elsewhere at AX2018, though.)

So, I of course was quite pleased they decided to booth this year, in addition to holding panels!
